Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

All Saints Benhilton School Association (ASBSA) is a registered charity no. 1090764 which relies solely on volunteers to operate. We’re here to make sure every student thrives by working together to help raise vital funds for our school and to create a positive, fun school environment. We’re all about making our school the best it can be for our children!
We are fortunate at our school to have a PTA that’s an integral part of the school community. Over the last 5 years we have raised £22K, which has been spent on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s educational experience and the school’s facilities.
Our PTA is about much more than simply fundraising. ASBSA exists to provide closer links between home and school, and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.
We welcome all parents and members of the school community to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available. All families are automatically members of the ASBSA when their child joins our school.
How to get involved
How to join the PTA We're always excited to welcome new volunteers and build connections with local businesses. If you're interested in getting involved or volunteering with ASBSA, we'd love to hear from you! You can contact us by email on asbsa@allsaintsbenhilton.org.uk. If you would like to join our ASBSA WhatsApp group please drop us an email. Every little helps, so just one hour of assisting at event would be invaluable!
Many UK companies offer a Matched Giving or Match Funding scheme, where they match the amount an employee donates to, or raises for a charity or school PTA.
If you, or a family member, work for an organisation that offers this scheme, they could match the funds you help raise at our events for example monetary donations, running a stall, baking cakes or helping with ticket or raffle sales. This means every pound you raise could be worth £2 to our school!
The PTA will guide you through the process and will provide you with all the evidence you need. Please click here to find out more.
Become A Class Rep
Our class reps play a very important role, providing a link between individual classes, the PTA and parents via parent WhatsApp groups. The support from class reps is vital when it comes to organising our main events, from selling tickets to organising rotas of help. We really could not manage without them.
Fundraising
Like most PTAs, most of our funds are raised through the events that we run. Some of our most popular events are the annual Easter egg hunt, Christmas gift gallery, Cinema Club, Storytime with Santa, raffles and cake sales. The PTA committee are responsible for deciding with the school how our PTA funds are spent. The School Leadership Team provide a ‘wish list’ of items that the school would like us to consider funding. Funds are typically spent on the ‘extras’ that are not provided by the school’s budget, thus making our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. Funds are not generally spent on improving the fabric of the school building, as this is the responsibility of the school. Our Constitution commits the association to spending money on things that will benefit the children directly.
Some of the items we have donated to the school are listed below:
• Outdoor play equipment
• Playground equipment storage
• External playground sound system
• New phonics books
• Christmas tree and crackers for the children
• Money towards the Y6 leavers celebration
• Funding towards class budgets for every class
