ASBSA
We are a group of people whose primary aim is to raise funds for the school.
These funds go towards "extras" that cannot be funded directly by the school and also towards much needed equipment that requires our additional input.
We have raised thousands of pounds over the years enabling us to improve existing equipment and facilities not covered by the school budget. In recent years funds raised from many events have gone towards many exciting things like new playground markings and climbing equipment, the new resource area and library and the new classroom awnings.
Throughout the year we host a number of events to raise money, including:
- Cake Sales
- Disco
- Christmas and Summer Fayres
- Christmas “Secrets” room
- Summer Picnic / BBQ
- Parents Quiz Evening
- Easter Egg Hunt
As a parent or carer of someone at the school, you are automatically a member of ASBSA. How involved you become is up to you. We are always looking for new members who bring fresh ideas and valuable skills. We are a diverse school and we really want to run events that appeal to all backgrounds, so we are currently reviewing the events we plan to run in the year ahead. We would love to hear from you about any fundraising ideas you may have and any skills that may help ASBSA go from strength to strength.
How to get involved
We are proud of our achievements to date, but to continue to be successful we need your help! There are lots of ways in which you can help and support ASBSA, such as;
- Become a PTA committee member
- Become a class representative
- Giving a little of your time in any event or project we undertake – helping out at a stall
- Most importantly, coming along and supporting our events!
At the heart of all of our fundraising activities, are the children of our school, who firstly get immense enjoyment from our events and also benefit from the little extras in school that these events help fund.
